# Vaporesso iTank T: the move to top airflow > What the Vaporesso iTank T changes against the iTank and iTank 2: top airflow, GTi coils, UK capacity, and its real place in the Vaporesso range. One letter added to the end of a name, and a whole catalogue tips over. The iTank already existed, so did the iTank 2, and nothing in the naming hints that the third of the line runs on an airflow principle inverted from its elders. The **Vaporesso iTank T** hides the most structural change this reservoir has seen since it was created. ## The Vaporesso iTank T is the iTank moved to top airflow The letter T stands for top airflow. This version abandons the air intake at the bottom of the reservoir, used by the original iTank and the iTank 2, in favour of an intake sitting in the upper part of the tank. That is not an extra setting but a complete rework of the internal and external architecture. Top airflow calls for more generous air sections, a redrawn chimney and an entirely revised path for the liquid to reach the cotton. The benefit sought is well known and applies to every reservoir of this type: limiting leaks, since air no longer enters through the lowest point of the device. ## Where this reservoir sits in the Vaporesso range Vaporesso runs two large coil platforms side by side. The GTX family equips the pods and the smaller kits, while the GTi family drives the sub ohm reservoirs this one belongs to. They are two separate worlds, with no interchangeability at all. The reservoir is not sold on its own only. The opening button of the iTank 2 gives way to a top cap that slides back and clears far more of the opening. Filling from a bulky bottle no longer means removing the mouthpiece first, which matters more than it sounds on a 2 ml reservoir refilled often. On the other side, the chimney diameter grew, and that changes the result. Testing judges flavour delivery more precise on the original iTank, an observation that frequently accompanies a move from bottom to top airflow. The domed reservoir also did away with the small tray that collected condensation at the bottom of the original, invisible on a spec sheet but real in daily use. ## GTi coils, the reservoir's only consumable The **Vaporesso iTank T** works exclusively with GTi coils, offered notably at 0.2 and 0.4 ohm on this reservoir as in the Gen kits. Those two values place the device unambiguously on the direct lung side. They are reputed to last as long as the liquid stays reasonable in additives and sweeteners. No. The two Vaporesso platforms are distinct: GTX equips pods and small kits, GTi the sub ohm reservoirs. No adaptation is possible. ### Can it be used for a tight draw? That is not what it is for. The available coil values and the air section point the device towards direct lung inhaling, even with the ring closed as far as it goes. ### Does it need a capable mod? A mod able to deliver the range printed on the coil comfortably is enough. The lower values in the GTi series drain a cell quickly, so plan the runtime accordingly. ### Can the mouthpiece be replaced? Yes, it is removable. Check the fitting stated on the listing you buy from, since listings do not all describe it identically. ### What should be done about condensation in the airflow ring? A wipe with a cloth on the upper part and a slightly less open airflow setting solve it most of the time.
